About RASC
At the Retirement Administration Service Center (RASC), we counsel members of the University of California system as they transition into retirement. From retirement planning webinars to survivor support — and everything in between — we’re here to guide you through the retirement process and provide long-term pension and retirement health benefits assistance.
Here for you
We’re here to help you and your family plan for what comes next, whether you’re beginning anew at the University of California or spent your entire career here.
What we do
RASC provides support to employees, retirees and their family members through three key phases of the retirement journey:
- Pre-retirement
We offer hands-on support to members who are planning for retirement, now or in the future. This includes retirement counseling, UC Retirement Plan (UCRP) education, learning and development opportunities and employee engagement initiatives — all designed to educate and empower. - Transitioning to retirement
Once you've elected for retirement, our team works behind the scenes to process your information and application. This includes retirement, survivor and special claims and finalizing financial transactions related to your pension. - Post-retirement
After retirement, we work to manage your information in line with events and changes that affect you and your family. This includes beneficiary and survivor benefits, health and welfare benefits and guidance with insurance coverage.
